We went down to the swimming hole in back of the house in the
creek to take our baths. Earline and I
spent many a day in that old creek. She
was something very special, with very pretty black hair and just very
cute. She was seven months older than I
was. We were very close and I loved
Earline very much.
One day we were in the swimming hole with our cloths on a
large rock that we could reach, when we heard some one giggling. We just played it cool and made out like we
hadn’t heard them. When we were ready to
get out, we just reached up, got our cloths, put them on under the water, and
went on home like nothing had happened.
The neighbor boys had found our favorite place, and then from
then on we were very careful.
